Mining town of Roros

The town of Roros in the Trondelag mountains of Norway used to be famous for its copper mines, that operated from 1644 to 1977. Now it's famous for being a UNESCO world heritage site, marvelously well preserved. If you visit it on a Sunday during autumn, as we just did (the we is Pierre - you know, that guy on the first picture - and me), you'll find it pretty empty. There is a certain flavour of Far West. Or should I call it Far North?
